Content Management System for the City of Monterrey

A Wagtail-based CMS that lets City of Monterrey departments manage and publish news, events, notices, forms and site sections without depending on the development team.

About the project

The content management system behind the City of Monterrey's official site at monterrey.gob.mx. Built on Wagtail (the open-source Django CMS) with a public frontend in Vue 3 + Quasar. It lets government departments manage pages, news, events, notices, forms, directories and carousels without touching code, with a multi-user editorial workflow and per-section permissions. It includes more than 40 reusable content block types: headers, galleries, mosaics, cards, timelines, tabs, charts, circular progress indicators and more.

Key features

  • Page management: standard, landing, form and root section
  • Content groups: notices, events, news, directories, carousels and card pages
  • More than 40 reusable content blocks (galleries, tabs, timelines, charts)
  • Editorial workflows with per-department permissions
  • Image and document management with collections
  • Site configuration and editable properties
